Apollo's Story

ADOPT APOLLO!

🐶Apollo: The Happiest Dog You've Never Met (And THAT Needs to Change) ❤️
Look at this face. LOOK AT IT.
This is Apollo. Three years old, 65 pounds of pure joy, and he's been waiting in foster care for over a year for someone to choose him.
Over. A. Year.
His family had to move and couldn't take him. He came to ARLO expecting it would be temporary. That someone would see him—really SEE him—and say "That one. That's my dog."
But here he is. Still waiting. Still smiling. Still being the goofiest, most lovable boy while watching other dogs get their happy endings.
Here's what kills us:
Apollo is GOOD with everyone:
🐕 Other dogs? Loves them
🐾 Puppies? Adores them
🐱 Cats? Yes
👶 Kids? Yes
🏠 House-trained? Check ✅ Crate-trained? Check ✅
🏃 Athletic and fun? Absolutely
He's got this gorgeous shiny black coat, white paws like he stepped in paint, and a tail that curls up over his back like a happy question mark. He's striking. He's goofy. He's READY.
Apollo is still smiling after a year of waiting. PLEASE SHARE and help him find his person. 🐾
So why is he still here?
Honestly? We don't know. Black dogs wait longer—that's a fact. But Apollo isn't just any black dog. He's THIS black dog. The one in the tie-dye bandana with his tongue out and his whole heart showing in his eyes.
What Apollo needs is simple:
Someone with a 6-foot fence who's ready for an athletic, playful companion. Someone who gets that he might need a hot minute to trust you, but once he does? You've got a best friend for life.
What you get is everything:
A dog who's already trained. Who loves your kids, tolerates your cat, plays with your other dog. Who will go on adventures with you, curl up on the couch with you, and make you laugh every single day with his ridiculous personality.
Apollo has been the good boy for over a year. He's been patient. He's been hopeful. He deserves his turn.
Ask about our January adoption specials!
Includes neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, heartworm test & prevention, flea/tick treatment.
🖤 Apply: https://www.arlorescue.com/adoption-form.html
Requirements: 6-foot privacy fence, good vet history
He's already chosen you.
