Apollo's Story

Apollo has been through a lot in his short 24 months so he is exhibiting separation anxiety that with time may reduce but for now he’d do best with someone home most of the time. Apollo loves hard as you can see from the photos with his foster dad. He truly believes he’s a lap dog. Apollo is trained in pressure therapy by his original owner who recently reached out to us recently. She was in a difficult financial situation coming out of a bad relationship so was unable to keep him but misses him terribly. He’s spunky and fun still being a puppy. He loves his ball which can be motivational for training and he loves fetch. He can resource guard food and bones at times but loves other dogs to play with. Loves hugs and cuddling. He is very smart and knows a few basic commands taught by his fosters. While he does not live with kids he has been around them at events and enjoys loving and hugs. He has not been around children when eating so there should be slow introduction if there are children in the household since he can resource guard on occasion.
