Anya's Story

Anya is the sweetest one-year-old German Shepherd you’ll ever meet! She’s an affectionate, goofy, and loyal girl who has quickly become the light of her foster mom’s home. Whether it’s a brisk morning walk or a long stroll in the afternoon heat, Anya is always up for the adventure—and then promptly knocks out for a well-earned nap.

She adores humans and greets everyone with tail wags and enthusiastic kisses. Sundae has never had an accident and will let you know when she needs to go out by pacing or gently nudging the door handle with her snout. She’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is perfectly content lounging quietly while her foster mom works at my desk.

Anya is a snuggle bug who melts into your side and makes every moment sweeter. She’s gentle with kids, loves peanut butter (especially on a frozen lick pad), and is unbothered by elevators!

She knows sit, down, paw, and “no,” and while she’s still learning better leash manners, she’s a quick learner. With dogs, she’s still learning how to socialize and is a bit selective. She can be a bit vocal on leash, and her adopter will need to work with her in this. After proper introduction, she’s became best buds with the neighbor’s golden retriever. Small dogs are not her thing, so she’d do best as a solo pup or with a larger male dog companion with an easy going personality.

Anya is the full package: loving, loyal, and ready for her forever home. She deserves endless peanut butter and a family who sees how special she is.
