Anubis's Story

Anubis is a 9 month old shepherd mix puppy who is looking for fun, dog-loving, and experienced owners! He is neutered, up to date on all veterinary care, and ready to head home on a foster-to-adopt contract ANY day!

This beautiful puppy was almost euthanized for "mouthing/biting" at the young age of 6 months old. We think that all puppies are mouthy during their adolescnce, and had to say yes to saving his life!

Anubis is kid, cat, and dog friendly. He loves all people! He is a clean slate in terms of behavior and lifestyle adaptation.

Anubis has learned basic skills to help him adjust to his new home. He will be happiest with another playful dog to live with! If you do not have one, please consider adopting one of his many friends (we offer a BOGO!!) so he has his physical needs met consistenly with a playmate.

Anubis shows some frustration behaviors in this environment around barriers, like fencing between playgroups, and some leash frustration. He needs proper introductions to other dogs that does not involve leashes or other barriers and he will be friends with all! He plays with dogs as small as 10lbs, and as large as 100lbs. His friendliness and energy know no bounds!!

Training classes or private training in Orford, NH are included in his adoption for free!

Please visit www.aears.org for any information on our policies, adoption requirements, and to fill out an application!

**Not all dogs are listed in both places, mostly because Petfinder is a little easier to manage versus our site in terms of adding new animals.**
