Antonio Fostered HW Fee Waived

These handsome boys arrived as owner surrenders several months ago and despite repeated efforts to match them up with their new family, still we have not yet found them. We totally believe in this loving, happy and slightly goofy pair so we're glad you are tuned in to learn more about them now!! <br/><br/>Perhaps you can help!! <br/><br/>We have had The Italians off site doing a variety of activities in the community. Most recently, we had them on Fox Carolina news at our annual fundraising event Wags and Whiskers. They snuggled right up to Kendra Kent, host of 4 Legged Friends, as she shared them with her audience once again hoping to get them home. Despite all the action/activity in front of the club house (location of event), still they were fantastic- Vinny was climbing in Kendra's lap while Antonio got comfy and was rolling around on his back. Prior to this outing, we had them at a fundraiser on the Clemson campus- Puppy Yoga- where their job was to walk rows of students in a yoga class with the goal of enhancing their experience and helping them relax. They were huge hits! A week prior, they were boating on Lake Keowee. Superb in the car ride to the lake, while a little hesitant on the boat initially, still they beautifully got into the groove of things. We learned that they were not interested in swimming but were OK in treating the lake like their private, super large water bowl! One of their first outings was to a local park where they beautifully explored around with their Clemson student chauffeurs. <br/><br/>Of note, we have had them on 2 TV news sets (in addition to the TV time at the fundraiser), one in Greenville SC- a one hour drive from the shelter and one at a local park 30 min away. They love car rides and it's the norm that they will curl up with each other and use each other like a laz-y-boy recliner or a nice back rest! They adore each other. On the tv sets, they were calm, welcoming of all and charming to all. See video clips.<br/><br/>When the boys first meet you, kind of ignore them, let them interview you and then in no time, curiosity will get the best of them. Soon, you will get softly swarmed as they check out your energy and quickly welcome you into their world. Vinny tends to be the first one to climb in your lap to give you a facial while Antonio is more apt to hang nearby taking in the sights and enjoying his time with his human and brother. They love a good, strong game of wrestling, tug of war and tag, you're it. Their wrestling can sound and look a bit heated at times, but it's all good and never gets too crazy. They love and respect each other and are good about sharing toys- no resource guarding and despite being kenneled together for months now, still they never tire of each other so we truly believe they are better together. Antonio no doubt takes cues from Vinny and they work beautifully together as companion pets.<br/><br/>Of note, they were in foster for about a week - in an apt type setting. They were terrific. Their foster did a great job in making sure they got plenty of longer walks and they were fine being left alone in the apt- self entertaining each other and or simply relaxing and chilling by each other's sides. The only reason the foster did not keep them longer was because he took a new job which made it impossible for him to keep them long term.<br/><br/>Despite being under our care for months now, the boys still start each day with glasses 1/2 full. They are happy, grateful boys who have so much to offer their new family. You'll not find a mean bone in these boys- they are sweet and kind and just want to give and receive love. We firmly believe their new family is out there so we keep sharing them via different outlets so they can finally leave kennel life and put their pet skills to good use with a loving family. We can't wait to meet the family that gets to call The Italians their new best friends.
