ANNIE SUE $375's Story
Meet Annie Sue!
Annie Sue is a 4-year-old Doodle mix weighing about 47 pounds, and her favorite thing in the world is being close to her people. After spending years without much affection, she has discovered just how wonderful love and attention can be—and she is soaking up every bit of it! Annie Sue is a true snuggle bug who happily curls up beside you on the couch during a movie or nestles in close at bedtime.
She does great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to many different kinds of families. Annie Sue is also learning her leash manners and is doing well—though she still zigzags a bit while deciding which side she prefers to walk on!
She’s making good progress with potty training and has been doing great in her crate overnight and when supervised. Annie Sue is still adjusting to being on her own at times and can get a little vocal in her crate because she would much rather be with her people. Because of this, a home without shared walls (and ideally someone who isn’t gone for long stretches) would help her continue building confidence and settling into her new life.
What Annie Sue wants most is simple: a family to love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you, follow you from room to room, and happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Annie Sue might just be your perfect match.

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- (SEE PINNED POST) and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$425+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$375+tax for ages 4-7
$275+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs. Should you see a dog that interests you, please send us a Facebook message or an email with your approval number. Please be patient with us, as Lucky Mutts Rescue is run strictly by volunteers and many of us work full time jobs, have families and also foster dogs. Thank you for considering Lucky Mutts Rescue for your next furry family member!
