Annie's Story

Meet Annie (aka Chicken Little!)

Annie is a just-over-one-year-old hound mix with long legs, soulful eyes, and a heart that’s as kind as they come. At 50 pounds, she’s a perfect medium-large gal who believes the world is a nicer place when it’s calm, quiet, and shared with a trusted friend.

Annie may not be the bravest dog at RAWL, but she is incredibly sweet and humble. Loud noises make her want to seek cover (hence the affectionate nickname Chicken Little), but when the shelter is peaceful and the chaos fades, Annie blossoms into a happy, playful, and attentive girl who loves gentle affection and relaxed companionship.

She would thrive in a rural home with a fenced yard where she can feel safe and secure, and she absolutely shines with another dog by her side to be her built-in confidence booster. With a canine buddy and a calm environment, Annie shows just how joyful and loving she can be.

If you believe the best dogs are the soft-hearted ones who quietly steal your soul, Annie might be your perfect match. 💛
