Annie's Story

Meet Annie 💕

Annie is a 6-9 year-old, 9.5 lb Chihuahua with a tender heart and a big personality tucked inside her tiny frame. She’s a shy, sensitive girl who takes a minute to warm up when meeting new people. With a little patience and a cozy lap, Annie blossoms.

Annie is a professional snuggler. She bonds closely with her person and is happiest curled up beside you, soaking in the love. And don’t let her serious first impression fool you — when she’s comfortable, she can get downright frisky and playful! Annie LOVES taking walks. Our vets suspect she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia which means she has a wonky gait. CH is not progressive so we suspect Annie has been afflicted her entire life. This doesn’t stop her from chasing the occasional chicken at her foster home or enjoying a quick stroll around the block.

Annie would do best in an adult-only home with a fenced yard. She loves hanging out outside. Annie could also be in an apartment setting if her humans were home often enough. She can be a tad barky when she can’t see what’s going on. Annie prefers small dog friends and would thrive with a chill canine companion (or as your one-and-only).

Annie isn’t the right fit for everyone — but for a true dog lover with a kind heart, she’ll be an incredibly loyal and loving little companion. 💗

Annie is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/annie/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
