Annie's Story

Meet Annie: A Friend to All with a Heart of Gold
~7 Years Old | 10 lbs | Poodle Mix | Pasadena CA

If you are looking for a loyal best friend who will literally follow you to the ends of the earth (or at least to the kitchen and back), Annie is your girl! She is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and couch potato.

A Little About Annie
• When Annie is happy, she gets the adorable zoomies, does play bows, and will roll on her back to wiggle with pure joy.
• Annie lives for her walks! She is friendly with everyone she meets—big dogs, small dogs, and people. She is an active girl who would love a human ready to explore the neighborhood.
• Annie is house-trained and will give you a polite whine to let you know when she needs to go out.
• Annie is calm and respectful around other dogs and is cat-friendly.
• She is very smart and has learned "sit," "go on a walk," and "go potty."
• Annie takes her job as house protector seriously and will let you know if someone is at the door.
• Non-shedding! She will require regular grooming to keep her looking her best.

Annie’s Ideal Forever Home
Annie is a "person's dog." She bonds deeply and quickly, which means she does have some separation anxiety. She would be happiest in a home where:
• Her humans are home more often than not (retired, work-from-home, or homebodies).
• Her family understands that she wants to be part of the pack and included in the action.
• She can sleep near your feet or even in the "big bed" with you.
• She has a fur-friend to keep her company.

Annie recently underwent a successful surgery to remove a large ‘struvite’ bladder stone. To prevent new stones from forming, she will be on a lifelong prescription-only urinary diet (Purina Pro Plan UR). Thankfully she thinks her special food is delicious! Her new family will need to be diligent about her diet—no human food or regular treats—and committed to routine vet check-ups to keep her healthy. Annie is spayed, current on her vaccines and microchipped.

Annie is a goofy, resilient, and incredibly affectionate girl who has been through a lot and is now ready for her happily ever after. If you have room in your heart for this 10-pound treasure, Annie is ready to meet you! Apply to adopt her today at bichonrescuebrigade.org/adopt/adoption-form
