*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***

Meet Annie! She is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'High Five', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.

Annie is happy to meet new people if they go at her speed. She can be a bit timid, but only for the first couple minutes. She found her way to Wyoming from Oklahoma where she was overlooked for far too long. She has gained confidence and learned all sorts of commands and fun tricks while she's been at PACK.

She enjoys playing with the other dogs at PACK, but from time to time she gets too overstimulated when the play escalates. Annie just needs breaks and reminders to play gentle. She is as loyal as they come. If someone is mean to another humans or dog, she's right there ready to stand up for them.

Annie is house trained and doesn't mind hanging out in her kennel when her people are away.

Annie was cautious about cats when she met them. Black Dog Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
BDAR considers pet adoption to be a privilege and that good pet owners can demonstrate a history of responsible practices. Our basic requirements are as follows: Adopters must be at least 18 years of age Adopters’ current pets must be current on their rabies vaccination per local ordinances Adopters must be able to provide a current veterinary reference if they own other pets or have recently owned pets If the adopter rents, they must be able to provide a landlord reference stating that pets are allowed on the property Adopter cannot intend for the animal to be kept as an outdoor only pet, or for the primary mode of containment to be tethering Adopters must be a good match for the animal in question as determined by our adoption counselors Our adoption fees includes spay or neuter, current age appropriate vaccinations, microchip with lifetime registration, a free first vet exam, and 30 free days of pet health insurance. A note about our adoption fees: BDAR utilizes a variable pricing structure for all of its adoptable animals. Adoption fees are determined based on an animal's perceived desirability, age, training or medical investment, and the length of time they have been available for adoption. Some animals are priced higher than others. These animals' adoption fees provide a legacy gift for others in the program who may need additional resources in order to get the same chance in a forever home.
