Annie's Story

Meet Annie - a ~10 month old girl weighing about 50 lbs! Sweet Annie is a mixed breed, but we see gorgeous features of shepherd and lab in her.

This beautiful girl is slowly learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was terrified of people, unfamiliar sounds, and just about everything around her. For the first couple of weeks, she wouldn't even come out of her crate — it was her only safe space in a world that felt overwhelming. Each day, she grows a little braver. She now ventures out on her own, explores her surroundings, and is starting to show her sweet personality to those she trusts. Watching her discover comfort and confidence has been incredibly special. Beneath that timid exterior is a tender, loving soul just waiting for the right home to help her continue to shine. She would thrive in a calm, patient home with a gentle canine companion who can show her the ropes and help her build confidence. A confident but kind dog friend would make all the difference in her journey. Because of her shy nature, she'll need adopters who understand that love and trust take time — but the reward of seeing her truly come into her own will be worth every moment. She hasn't been around cats or children, but as long as they are patient and give her space we think she would do just fine. Annie is learning how to be a puppy again, so she will need help with most of the basic puppy training. A routine schedule would be great for her, and she is very treat motivated once she is comfortable with you. She does great in her crate. If you have a quiet home, a soft heart, and a friendly pup who can be her guide, she just might be the perfect addition to your family.

Annie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She will require a home with another dog and a physical (not electric) fenced in yard. She can go to her forever home any day, so apply for this sweetheart with Paws Across Pittsburgh, KL 16182.
