Annie's Story

Annie is a senior black Lab with a heart that has never gotten the memo that she's supposed to slow down! This sweet girl is immediately everyone's best friend and has truly never met a person she doesn't like. In fact, her love of absolutely everyone may have been one of the reasons she failed out of service dog training.

Annie was raised around children of all ages and is incredibly gentle and tolerant with them. She's also house trained AND crate trained! While she's a gentle senior lady, don't let that fool you-she can still bring plenty of happy Lab energy when the mood strikes. She's very responsive to the energy around her and may pant heavily when she's feeling anxious or overwhelmed.

And Annie does have one tiny criminal habit: she's a stuffie thief. If the kids leave their stuffed animals unattended, Annie considers that an invitation. Finders keepers!

Annie's vocal cords were clipped earlier in her life, a practice we certainly don't support, so her voice may sound different from other dogs. It doesn't stop this happy girl from communicating just how excited she is to see you!

Annie does need to be the only pet in her new home, but when it comes to people, she's got enough love to fill the whole house. She's looking for a family who will appreciate a wonderful senior dog and give her the happy, comfortable retirement she deserves.

Senior black Lab
Wonderful with kids
House trained
Crate trained
LOVES people
Must be the only pet
Part-time stuffie thief
Gentle, happy & affectionate
Still has some pep in her step!

Annie has spent her life loving people. Now she just needs someone to make sure the best chapter of her life is still ahead of her.
