Hiya! My name is Annie and I've already won the award for wiggliest pup at the shelter. I get so happy to see people: tall, small, young, old, it doesn't matter to me. My caregivers here are nice and all, but I want nothing more than a family of my own! Some things you need to know about me are that I will most definitely give you lots of kisses, I love to run and play, and also, snacks are kind of the best thing ever. My dream home would have a nice, big yard to get my puppy energy out (I'm not actually a puppy, but honestly, you'd never know it), a comfy bed to curl up in, and a family that loves me as much as I'm ready to love them. In fact, I do well with other dogs here at the shelter so if you have a furry friend already, bring them with to ensure that we get along! Second Chance Humane Society's Adoption Policy

You can view our available dogs and cats online, or visit with them in person at our shelter. We are located at 177 County Road 10 in Ridgway, Colorado. We are open to the public 11 AM – 5:30 PM, 7 Days a Week (except designated holidays). We adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We don’t allow pet holds. Our adoption fees vary depending on the age of the pet. Dogs: $200 puppies under 6 months old $100 adult dogs $50 seniors (7 years and up) Cats: $100 kittens under 6 months old $50 adult cats $25 seniors (7 years and up) All pets adopted from Second Chance are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and will have age-appropriate vaccinations. Be prepared to bring your new pet home. All adopted dogs will need a collar and leash. We have them available to purchase, or you can bring your own. ID tags are also available. Cats will need a carrier to go home with you.
