I've got a lot of enthusiasm for life, and if you let me, I'll try to share it with everyone around me.<br/><br/>My name is Ankole, and I've been here since 1/08/2026 after coming from Animal Friends of the Valley. When I first got here, I wasn't totally sure about everything. I could be a little shy, a little unsure, and I sometimes needed space when things got overwhelming. But that didn't last long.<br/><br/>These days, I'm much more confident, and I really enjoy being around other dogs. I greet, I invite, I bounce around with big play bows, and I'm usually ready to get something going. I like that back-and-forth style of play, and I've shown I can adjust depending on who I'm with. I've even stepped into moments where things were getting tense and helped bring the energy back down just by moving through it calmly.<br/><br/>That said, I'm still learning my limits. When I start to get tired, I can get a little pushy and forget my manners. It's not constant, but it's something I'll need help staying aware of so things don't tip too far.<br/><br/>With people, I'm engaged and social. I pay attention, I respond, and I'm always looking to connect. I can be a little sensitive to how things are communicated, so I do best with someone who's clear but not overwhelming.<br/><br/>My energy leans higher, especially when I'm feeling good. I like to move, interact, and be part of the action, but I'm not out of control. I just need the right balance of activity and guidance.<br/><br/>What I really need is someone who can keep me on track as I keep growing.
