This joyful girl radiates love and resilience. Her Story Anise was found in a ditch on a rural West Georgia roadside after being hit by a car—just yards from her own driveway. Animal Control picked her up, and thanks to an incredible advocate, You Lucky Dog Rescue stepped in. She received immediate surgery and has made an amazing recovery. Her spirit is just as strong as her snuggle game. About Anise Anise is a sweet, affectionate young lady who adores her people and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She’ll happily cover you in kisses and thinks being the little spoon is her full-time job. She is: Playful and fun-loving Great with kids (though she may not realize her size!) Because of her prey drive and play style, she is not recommended for homes with cats or small dogs and may prefer to be your one and only. PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time. Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
