Angus--Owner Rehome--not an LELRR dog's Story
Angus is a 9'10-year-old male, neutered, 105 pound gentle giant of a Labrador Retriever. He has lived all of his life with his elderly human mother and human brother in Stow, OH. He loves to play ball, inside and out, go for walks, ride in the car and soak up lots of attention. He loves to "lean in" to his people. He adores children and is very gentle with them.

While he is the only dog in the house, he does well with other dogs and could possibly be fine with cats. He is housebroken, trustworthy in the home and up to date on shots.

Unfortunately, Angus' mother is ill and in the hospital. Her health is declining and she is no longer able to care for Angus. His human brother has autism and will be moving to a group home as he is unable to live on his own. The group home does not have a place for Angus so he is looking for a forever home to live out the rest of his years.

His mother and brother are heartbroken and a family friend has been staying with Angus while the family navigates the mother and son's healthcare and living situations. However, he needs to find a forever home as soon as possible.

Angus is an active senior dog, and loves to play ball both inside and outside. He is leash trained and loves car rides.

He would do well in a fenced yard, he currently goes out on a lead, but will tour the neighborhood if he gets out. He's been an only dog his whole life, but is well socialized around other dogs with no issues. He's never been with cats but was raised with grandkids visit and never an issue. He is loving and gentle, often leaning in to his people to be close.

Angus has some arthritis but he currently is not getting any treatment. The family was getting ready to start him on some anti-inflammatory medications but has not done so. Otherwise he is a happy, healthy, young acting boy. He is up to date on all of his shots and on heartworm preventative. The family has veterinary records for his new family.

If you are interested in adopting, or fostering to adopt Angus, please email Abby at abbykirkand77@gmail.com. No application is necessary as this is not an LELRR dog, however LELRR is assisting the family in finding Angus his forevers.

LELRR and the owner are requesting a donation to the rescue in lieu of an adoption fee.
