Angus's Story

Meet Angus — the Sweetest Little Shadow You’ll Ever Have!

This handsome little guy is Angus, a 4-year-old Beagle weighing just 21 pounds. He previously lived in a home with other dogs and children, but after being kicked outside to live in the backyard for the past year, he’s finally getting the indoor life he deserves.

Now settled into his foster home, Angus is thriving. He’s not intimidated by larger dogs and spends most of his time happily following his foster mom from room to room — he truly never wants to leave her side. He’s a world-class cuddler, whether it’s on the couch or snuggled in a chair, and he crates beautifully.

House training is coming along well; any small setbacks are likely from his time living outdoors, and he’s quickly remembering good habits.

Like any classic Beagle, Angus definitely has a voice—and he’s proud of it! If he hears a noise, sees someone at the door, or decides he has something important to say, he’ll be sure to let you know.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a great snuggle game, and a little Beagle “talk,” Angus may be the perfect fit.

If you are interested in adopting Angus, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
