One of the only male dogs in our care at the time of this writing, he has made friends with a few of the ladies and has proven himself to be a playful and happy pup.<br/><br/>Angus started as a shy dog who needed time to warm up to our volunteers, but he has really blossomed into a dog who enjoys human affection. If you give him belly rubs, he’ll return the love with kisses and snuggles.<br/><br/>A volunteer who took him home for a sleepover reports that he is learning how nice it is to relax on the couch next to people. He could potentially live in a home with dog savvy cats if well supervised; he hasn’t fully learned how to coexist but shows promise that he could.<br/><br/>He’s great on a leash and responds well to general commands like come, sit and lay down. As with most dogs, a little training will go a long way for this guy.<br/><br/>Overall he’s an amazingly sweet boy who is learning that humans are safe and playing with dog pals is fun.<br/><br/>If your couch is feeling a little empty, come meet Angus today!<br/>---<br/><br/>We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $500 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
