Angus's Story

Angus has the distinct privilege of being Happy Life Beagle Rescue’s first rescue! He was very shy when he first arrived at our southern foster, but has loosened up quite a bit. He does best when people go slow getting to know him, but once he knows you, he is a friendly, out going boy. Angus is about a year old and weighs 27 lbs.

Angus' story is typical. He was hanging around an Exxon station in rural Virginia for a few days. A Good Samaritan contacted local animal control who went to the property to try to take him in. He was easily trapped so was likely relieved to get inside and get some good food.

Angus LOVES treats! They are surely the way to his heart. He walks well on a leash and would prefer a more quiet neighborhood than an urban setting. Angus is expected to arrive in early February.
