Angelo's Story

FREE food and vet care for 1 year if adopted in August!

18 month old Angelo lost his home due to divorce and landed in a shelter. The shelter staff contacted GSROC as he had quickly become a shelter favorite.

Angelo is a one-of-a-kind husky mix with a heart as strong as his spirit. He’s on the smaller side for a husky, but don’t let that fool you—he’s still got a spark of athleticism and loves a good adventure. While he’s starting to slow down a bit, Angelo knows how to balance bursts of energy with serious chill time. Whether it’s lounging at your feet or tossing his toy around, he’s a pro at doing his own thing.

Angelo is an independent thinker with a classic husky mind—smart, self-assured, and not afraid to set boundaries. He thrives with people who respect his space and personality but can still offer calm, confident leadership. He’s not a social butterfly; Angelo prefers a small, trusted circle of human friends and takes his time to let new people in.

He does enjoy the company of other friendly, respectful dogs and would likely appreciate a well-matched canine companion. He’s crate trained, enjoys structure, and would do best in a home that values his unique blend of independence and loyalty.

Angelo’s ideal home would be a calm environment with consistency and an adult dog-savvy owner. If you’re looking for a companion who marches to the beat of his own drum but will be deeply loyal to the right person, Angelo might just be your guy!
