Angelica's Story

Angelica is an estimated 9 years old and 49 pounds. She is on 3 pain prescriptions for her severe arthritis and has had surgery for some growth removals. When we picked her up from the shelter she was still emaciated and healing from a deep wound. She is now in good health and at a proper weight.

She gets along with other dogs even though she doesn't play as much as some. She does better out of a crate so that she can stretch her legs whenever needed. She loves to lay down next to you and would follow you around if you let her. She's a sweetheart that likes to trot around the yard and roll around on her back in the grass.

She can catch on to a potty routine for the most part, if consistent and often enough, minimum 3 times a day. She does have accidents that could become more frequent with age and occasionally she falls when going to the bathroom.

Angelica is available for adoption to someone or a family that wants to care for her and love on her for the rest of her life. Becoming a hospice foster is also an option. This means that the rescue would continue to financially support Angelica's needs from food to medical, and you would simply provide hands on care along with the space in your home.

Reach out for more details at oceanrayrescue@gmail.com or follow our social media @oceanrayrescue
