Angel's Story

Few dogs enter the shelter with as much grace as Angel. Left in an unheated home — the last resort of her owner who had to move to a place that disallowed dogs. As he found out, all shelters are maxed out. After exhausting all other avenues, the dog warden finally picked up Angel from the home where even the water bowl had frozen over and she is now warm, properly fed and as friendly as you would expect from a lab mix. Unfazed around the other dogs and happy to sport her jaunty new coat while the weather continues to test man and beast, Angel is at least 8 years old - with a sparkle in her eyes and smile on her face. For senior dog fans, Angel is a rare gem.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
