Andy's Story

IN FOSTER

Andy is a senior gentleman who has spent his life giving love freely—and now, he’s ready to finally receive it in a home that’s all his own. This gentle, calm, and sweet dog has a heart full of loyalty and a quiet wisdom that only comes with age. He adores people, greets everyone with a wag and a soft look of trust, and simply wants to be near the ones he loves.

Andy is well trained, house trained, crate trained, and listens like a dream. He has amazing recall, enjoys calm walks, and still bursts into the occasional “senior zoomie,” reminding everyone that while he’s older, he still has joy to share. He loves curling up on a soft couch, soaking in the warmth of his family, and letting life’s simple pleasures fill his days.

Despite a touch of arthritis and a heart murmur, Andy’s health is carefully managed, and he is remaining asymptomatic. These small hurdles don’t stop him from offering endless love and companionship—they just make him a little more deserving of a quiet, peaceful home where he can rest comfortably.

Andy has had a few foster experiences with other animals that didn’t work out. He’s happiest as an only pet, where he can finally enjoy the undivided love he so richly deserves. While he loves meeting dogs and playing outside, his golden years should be free of tension—just him, his people, and a lifetime of cuddles. He'll need a very calm home environment for him to succeed, anything other than that can be too overwhelming for him and he's not at his best.

Andy isn’t asking for much. Just a warm bed, a steady stream of affection, and a home that will cherish him for the gentle, loyal soul he is. He’s given so much love in his life, and now he deserves a place to rest his head, feel safe, and know he’s home.

If you have space in your heart (and your home) for a senior dog who will repay every ounce of love tenfold, Andy is ready to meet you—and stay by your side for all the quiet, tender moments ahead.
