Andrew is a handsome Terrier mix from St. Thomas who just needs a little time to let his personality shine. He can be nervous when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes an incredibly loyal companion who loves to stay close to his favorite person.<br/><br/>Andrew has done wonderfully in playgroups and thrives with other dogs. His two foster siblings have helped him build confidence, and he has settled beautifully into his foster home. Because of this, he'd do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog.<br/><br/>He enjoys chewing on durable toys, relaxing in a cozy dog bed, and running around the yard with a ball. Andrew already knows "sit," waits patiently at the door before coming inside, and is working on learning more commands. He also rides well in the car once he's comfortable.<br/><br/>Andrew is looking for a patient family who will let him adjust at his own pace. In return, you'll gain a sweet, devoted best friend who will happily become your shadow.<br/><br/>Andrew is in our Mutts with Manners training program, the foster adaptation! This program gives our residents more enrichment and a chance to show who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. Andrew is a bronze star meaning he knows the basic commands and is working on mastering them as well as other skills!
