ANCHOR's Story

Meet Anchor!
It will forever blow my mind that dogs like this one end up in kill shelters and not scooped up immediately. One man's trash, and our treasure! Anchor was on the euth list due to lack of space and I had to save him. When I met this sweet soul through chain link, I could immediately tell he was a diamond in the ruff. Anchor is poty trained, quiet, dog and kid friendly. He is crate trained and knows several commands. Upon initial meeting of new people and situations he is a bit anxious but it's only because he's eager to know what is expected of him from every human he meets. He know sit, jump, down, speak, shake, heel, etc. He loves to play ball and he loves hiking and riding in the car. despite the greys on his face, the vet estimates him to be only 3 or 4 years old. The perfect age! Anchor is non destructive and has no behavioral issues that we have learned. He does NOT like cats but doesn't seem to be overly interested in seeking them out either. This boy is smart and would make a great addition to any family. He is very affectionate, loyal, and usually he is a pretty mellow fellow. He has been in our program since Aug of 2023 :( He's been to several adoption events but is usually competing with puppies and is overlooked. Anchor is a sweet sweet boy and so deserving of his forever home. right now he is located in Tulsa oklahoma but can be adopted anywhere in the united states. Anchor is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on preventions. He was previously treated for heartworms and needs to remain on prevention to make sure that he remains a healthy boy! Anchors adoption fee is $100 and if youd like to meet him, you can submit an application on our website mercysakes2ndchancerescue.com to arrange a meet and greet!

Donate to Anchors ongoing care via any of the following platforms!
paypal.me/mercysakes (email mercysakes2ndchancedogs@gmail.com)
cashapp $mercysakesrescue (sasha smith - founder)
venmo @mercysakesrescue (sasha smith - last four-4545)
direct to our vet (catoosa small animal hospital on mercy sakes account) 918-266-4090
via mail to mercy sakes 1219 S Memorial Drive Tulsa OK 74112
