Amigo's Story
Meet Amigo (shmeag)!! This happy, goofy staffy guy is looking for his forever family to cuddle endlessly. Amigo had a rough start, failed twice by humans and ended up barely escaping euthanasia all while being a puppy. We don't know much about his past, but one thing is for sure, it wasn't easy. Despite his rough start, Amigo (shmeag) has endless love to give. He wants to be with his people as often as possible, and will follow you around everywhere. Forget privacy because this guy knows no boundaries when it comes to getting pets. Once he gives you those puppy dog eyes, you just can't resist. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite, and he will plop down in front of you and rollover constantly. Shmeag thinks he is a lapdog (with all 60 lbs of him) and therefore has to be touching you as often as possible.

His foster has now had him for two months, and has done a lot of work and training with him to become the well behaved good boy he always was. He is very docile and trainable, and wants to please his people making him a perfect trainee. He does still need some work that will require ongoing training as he is a puppy with a rough past (around 18 mos). He has some prey drive, jumps a bit when excited, and sensitivity towards new people (mostly men, we suspect he was mistreated by a man in his past). Amigo has had dog friends but because of his prey drive requires a slow, proper introduction and smaller playgroups, but he gets excited by other doggos and would like to make a good friend. Amigo is potty trained, does well in the crate, has been left out home alone for short periods of time, well behaved in the home, amazing in the car, loves long walks, and going on adventures. He has been working so hard and is making amazing progress, and would love a forever home that will help him continue to learn how to be the best dog he can be. I cannot express the genuine love Amgio gives to his people, and how hard he tries to be the goodest boy for you. Open up your heart to this big boy and he will love you endlessly!!
