Ami's Story
Those of us who have spent any time in rescue will NEVER understand how any human can dump a puppy. At around 11 weeks of age, Ami and her brother, Mace, who is also up for adoption, were tossed out to fend for themselves in an extremely remote part of Pulaski County. It is truly a miracle they were found. Needless to say, they are a little skittish and had only been in rescue a few hours when we took their photos (so better photos will be coming).

Covered in fleas and ticks, we immediately started drugs to kill those parasites, gave them wormer to rid them of any parasites on the inside and gave them their first puppy shot. We then started them on some good nutritional puppy food to help their immune system get stronger and to help them gain some weight as they are both a little thin.

Little Ami, is such a fuzzy, sweet, timid little girl. She will just let you hold her and love on her and she is getting lots of this in her foster home. She allowed us to do all that vetting, prodding and poking, without a single whimper! We believe she is a shepherd mix who will grow to be between 40 and 55 pounds.

This little girl will do well in just about any situation. Other dogs would be great, but she could be an only dog. Kids, cats, etc., will be just fine with Ami.

Ami is available for adoption now, but we will be working with the adoptive family to continue her vetting all the way through her spay that will occur when she's about 5-6 months old.

Adoption fee is $150.

To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application.

Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact.

We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application.

Please go to http://ootwrescue.org/adoption to fill out an application or review our Adoption Process.

Cat adoption fee is $100. Dog adoption fee is $150, unless otherwise specified.
