Ameria's Story

Hi there! My name is Ameria and I weigh about 40 lbs at around 3-5 years old.
I came in with my sister Libby from a over crowded open intake eastern VA shelter.
I do BEST with a slower intro to other dogs. Cats are a bit overwhelming, my future home is one with out them. Kids are pretty amazing, I get so excited to meet them, I MAY knock them over. I do very well in my crate, at times I will shrill whine to let you know I need to go out, or am ready to start the day, I am still learning the outside is the best for potty. Treats are the way to my heart (so watch your counters ;) and training. I can be a bit reactive on walks as well - even though I do amazing at events walking past other dogs. I will look up at you for treats and conformation that all is okay. I have a harness that clips in the front to my collar. It helps for easier walking as I do pull at times. People make my world go round, Ill do anything to please them! I'd love a comfy spot on the couch with you after some out side play time. I have had my heart worm treatment - it even seemed to clear my eyes up?! - and now I am ready for a new roost!
Please oh please put in an application to meet me!

We are a small based foster group who help dogs currently in VA, NC (more states soon) on death row find a second chance. Right now we will be running off of donations and fosters homes. So please be patient with us.

You may apply to adopt if you are in a state that surrounds VA state lines!

Adoption Contracts, and vet papers will be given at time of adoption. All dogs will be UTD on shots and spayed/neutered before going to their furever family!

All adoption fees are considered donations! We do not do refunds on donations.
