Amaranth's Story

Amaranth is a sweet, smart, food-motivated girl who will be lots of fun to train. She loves to use her nose - a natural at searching games. Though she can be shy and nervous in the shelter, she quickly warms up to new people - especially ones with treats! She likes going on walks and sniffing out all the goodies that have been dropped in the grass. She'd thrive in a calm home with a solid routine and lots of opportunities to learn and explore.

Amaranth came to the shelter with another dog - her husky pal, adoptable Jacinda. She is interested in other dogs but very worried by ones she doesn't know. She'll need slow intros with calm dogs who won't mind that she can be awkward at first and needs time to build trust. (Can you relate?!) Once she's comfortable, her playful, goofy side comes out. She loves to play chase games with Jacinda and has excitable "little sister" energy. She could be a great fit for a home with a confident, patient dog who doesn't mind taking the lead.

Amaranth will be a great companion for a person or family who has lots of love to give! Is that you? Come visit her today!
