Meet Alvin (12 pounds), a small senior boy looking for a home (and a hula hoop) for the holidays! Alvin can be slow to warm up to new people and tends to be picky about new friends in general. Once he is comfortable with you, be prepared to have a little shadow! With his buddies, Alvin loves to be doted on, held and petted (but please don't assume he wants your friends to do the same). Since he can't tell us exactly what his likes and dislikes are, we are looking for humans who can read his body language and advocate for him out in the world when needed. We think his ideal home would be on the quiet side, with adults or older teens only, and without a lot of strangers coming and going. Alvin finds it challenging to share his prized items and people with other dogs, so he may be happiest as your one and only.
