Alphie's Story

Meet Alphie. He is 4 month old, 20 pound lab mix who thinks he’s a lap dog. Alphie didn’t have the easiest start to life and we have learned that he’s a true fighter, and he is truly amazing.

Alphie started off his life in a foster home super sick. After a 5 day stay in the ER Alphie is finally home, healing, and thriving. Alphie loves people. He does well with children, dogs, and cats. He’s doing wonderful with his crate training and potty training. He even knows sit. Alphie would love a home where his people are home more than away. He truly wants to be beside you, in your lap, or even being held whenever he can. A fenced yard is a big bonus, and daily walks will be necessary to exert some energy. If you’re looking for you’re new bestie look no further because this guy is near perfect!

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
