Almond's Story

🐾 Meet Almond! 🐾
If you're looking for a dog who can make you laugh one minute and melt into your lap for cuddles the next, Almond is your guy!
This handsome boy is the total package--house trained, crate trained, great on a leash, and friendly with everyone he meets. He's especially fond of kids and believes the best way to introduce himself is with a shower of sweet kisses!
Almond loves other dogs and has a wonderfully adaptable play style. Whether his canine friend wants to wrestle, chase, or simply hang out, he's happy to join in. When the zoomies hit, get ready for some hilarious tail chasing, goofy antics, and dramatic belly flops that are guaranteed to brighten your day. When playtime is over, he's perfectly content entertaining himself with a squeaky toy or relaxing with a favorite bone.
He currently lives with cats and has done well. Like many young dogs, he sometimes gets excited and wants to chase when they dart across the room, so he's continuing to work on appropriate boundaries and redirecting his attention. He's never shown any intent to harm them and is learning more every day.
Almond is incredibly food motivated, which makes training both easy and fun! He's already mastered potty training, crate training, and walking nicely on a leash. Right now, he's working on his manners by practicing patience before meals, waiting calmly to be released from his crate, and continuing to build his impulse control around the cats.
Above all else, Almond is affectionate, people-oriented, and full of joy. He doesn't just fill a home--he fills it with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. If you're ready for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling and grow alongside your family, Almond is ready to meet you.
❤️ If you're interested in meeting Almond, click the link below to submit an application!
https://www.bluegrassbullyrescue.org/adoption-process
