Ally's Story

Ally/ Female / 10 months / 44lbs and growing / Shepherd Mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / Not Tested with Cats / From Hamilton/ Fostered in Toronto

Loving, energetic, and curious, Ally has a big puppy heart. Ally came to us from a local shelter where she was found as a stray. When she’s awake, she’s full of playful energy. She loves tossing toys around, exploring on walks, and happily following her humans wherever they go. After a good burst of play or a walk, she’s just as happy curling up beside you for cuddles.

Ally bonds closely with her people and loves being near them. She can be a little unsure when meeting new people at first, but with a bit of encouragement she warms up quickly and becomes affectionate and relaxed. She has done well around respectful, dog-savvy children and enjoys an active routine that includes daily walks, playtime, and enrichment like puzzle feeders and sniff mats.

Like many young dogs, Ally is still learning. She’s working on her leash skills and building confidence when left alone, but she’s smart, food-motivated, and already knows “sit,” making her a great candidate for continued positive-reinforcement training.

Ally sleeps in a crate at night and is potty trained, though she may occasionally have a small accident when left alone as she continues building confidence. She has shown friendly, playful body language with other dogs and may do well with a calm canine companion.

With her sweet nature, playful spirit, and love of cuddles, Ally will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to help her continue growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.

As a condition of the adoption contract, Fido’s new family will be required to:
- Ensure she has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time,
this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit
- Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required).
- Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this
stage.
- Spay within 6 mos of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the
spay will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will
be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting Ally, please apply at
https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form

Ally’s adoption fee is $900.
