Allen: Sweet, lovable large chi mix 8-10 years old that just wants to snuggle on your lap for pets and love. He’s a simple guy who would do best in home with a fenced yard (big or small) for potty breaks and lounging in a sunny spot. He will let you know when he needs to go potty with a whine (or a bark if it’s serious) but pee pads at nighttime for his new home are recommended. <br/><br/>He is extremely anxious in the car and does not like being on a leash, but this anxiousness could be to losing his vision. Even though he doesn’t need walks, he does need to lose some weight to prevent long term issues. He is currently on Hill’s weight management food. <br/><br/>He does fine with other dogs in the home but will eat all the food if not supervised. It’s unknown about cats. He keeps to himself and loves chewing on bones/bully sticks. He would be fine with respectful older children who can learn his boundaries. <br/><br/>Loud noises startle him and I’ve found when he gets anxious that scratching his ears/chins gently helps. He doesn’t like to be manhandled but he could be trained to be good for baths and the vet. Or sedatives!<br/><br/>Allen’s adoption fee is $150. He is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, recently neutered and had his dental cleaning.
