Alice's Story

Meet Alice - a resilient little athlete with a heart full of loyalty and love. At just 35 pounds, this petite heeler mix is smart, happy, and full of personality. Every morning, Alice greets the day with frantic wiggles, bright smiles, and excitement to be near her people.

Alice loves walks and is wonderful on leash, happiest when she's exactly one step behind her trusted person, quietly keeping pace. Life hasn't always been easy for her - she survived on her own while caring for herself and her puppies, which made her resourceful, observant, and strong.

Alice is cautious with strangers at first. But quickly she decides you're safe and her affectionate side shines. She adores brushing, belly rubs, and being as physically close to her people as possible. Like many heelers, Alice forms a deep bond with her chosen person, and will likely connect especially strongly with her new home and family.

Alice is learning that indoor life is also safe and comfortable. She has never had to be "house trained" as she instinctively taken herself outside to "potty". Every day Alice grows more confident and curious. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and tends to be playful, gentle, and submissive in social settings.

Alice is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to blossom into the devoted companion she's meant to be.

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.

HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/

When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.

You could be a life saver!
Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat.
