Alice's Story

Meet Alice, a sweet and spunky 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix with a beautiful tan and white coat and a heart full of love. Weighing around 30 pounds, Alice was rescued from Swainsboro, Georgia alongside her brothers, and now she’s ready to find a forever home of her own.

Alice is a playful, affectionate pup who loves to explore, chase after toys, and then snuggle up for some one-on-one cuddle time. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and gets along well with other dogs, children, and even cats. Alice brings a gentle, loving energy wherever she goes.

She’s currently learning the ropes of crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking, and she’s catching on quickly. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Alice is sure to grow into a loyal and joyful companion. If you're looking for a playful, cat-friendly pup with a sweet personality, Alice is ready to meet you.

Special Note: This puppy has been diagnosed with congenital megaesophagus (ME). This is a lifelong condition where the esophagus doesn’t move food to the stomach normally. Because of this, they will require lifelong medication and must follow a special feeding routine - eating in an upright position to help food and water go down safely. While it takes commitment, puppies with ME can still live happy, playful lives with families willing to give them a little extra care.

Alice is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC.
