He’s dog-friendly with pups of all sizes (including a 10 lb chihuahua). He has been good with his foster cat roomate and has absolutely loves the neighbor's toddler. On his walks, he has shown heightened interest toward cats, so slow introductions would help set everyone up for success. He's wonderful with people, kids, and dogs on walks yet he won't notice much else is there's a squirrel around.<br/><br/>He loves treats, squeaky toys, and does great on car rides—making him an easy dog to include in everyday family life, from school drop-offs to weekend adventures.<br/><br/>Alfie’s story is one of resilience. He was found as a stray on the streets of Sunnyside, clearly neglected, underweight, and suffering from a severe skin condition. With proper care, love, and nutrition, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy boy. Today, his coat has filled in beautifully, showing off his stunning brindle coloring and the glow of a dog who finally knows he’s safe.<br/><br/>Alfie is ready for a forever home where he can be loved, included, and cherished as part of the family. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.<br/><br/>*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.<br/><br/>*Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.<br/><br/>*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.<br/><br/>*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
