Alfalfa's Story
Meet Alfalfa! This two(ish) year old Pitbull mix came to us as a stray in November of 2025. As you can see from the video in his profile, he can have his calm moments but he also loves to play. He likes fetch (especially with tennis balls), tug of war, and generally having an energy outlet available when he gets the zoomies. He is a medium to high energy dog, typical of a 2 year old. He's working on his leash manners but figures it out very quickly that we are not always going for a run. He will benefit from a harness for his walks. With us, he is great about going potty outside when we go on walks. He knows sit, stay, and will take treats nicely from you when asked.

With other dogs, Alfalfa is still learning how to read social cues from his friends. He is always ready to play and will need a tolerant dog companion. It will be best to supervise play until he gets used to his buddy's playstyle. If there is another dog in the home, we will require a meet and greet at our facility prior to adoption.

Alfalfa is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He has tested negative for heartworms, as well. It is expected for any newly adopted dog to need time to adjust to a new home and routine but we believe he will make a great addition to a home ready for his big personality!
