Alexander's Story

Animal Profile: Alexander, Cleo and Mark Anthony were born in March 2024 in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, they were found on a property tied to trees with only barrels for shelter in the sweltering heat. Our rescue partners at Furry Freight were alerted to their conditions and reached out to see if we could help and we had to say yes! He is social, happy and so eager to bond with a family of his own.

Foster Update: Alexander is a 19-month-old pup who has come a long way from his rough beginnings. He may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up he’s all about the pets, treats, and cuddles.

He’s doing wonderfully on leash, is potty trained with regular outings, and absolutely loves both water and other dogs. Alexander’s ideal home would have large-breed experience, a securely fenced yard, and a playful resident dog to help show him the ropes.

That said, he’s currently thriving in an apartment setting, so with a committed adopter who can provide plenty of daily exercise, he could adjust well to city life too. He’d enjoy the company of another dog but could also do well as a solo pup as long as he has regular opportunities for social play.

Alexander is looking for a family ready to continue his training and give him the structure, love, and companionship he needs to blossom into the incredible dog we know he can be.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA guidelines, negative heartworm test, and microchip. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.

Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application

Animal History: This dog is being transferred to us via our rescue partner Furry Freight and arrives in Seattle on 07/21/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care in the greater Seattle area.
