Alexa – Tiny Hippo Energy, Big Puppy Love<br/><br/>What can you really say about the cutest puppy there ever was... except that she absolutely lives up to the title. She has the most adorable little snort and can keep up with the BIG dogs.<br/><br/>Alexa’s story started in an overcrowded shelter in Texas. We’re not sure exactly how she ended up there, but she was quickly placed into a temporary foster home so she could recover from a bite wound from a littermate and get healthy enough to travel to EAPL. When she first arrived, this little girl had clearly had a rough start — she was healing from her injury and her skin needed some TLC as well.<br/><br/>Fast forward to now, and Alexa is thriving. Living safely in a foster home with a couple of other dogs, she’s discovering just how fun life can be. She’s learning how to be a puppy — which means playtime, curiosity, and lots of adorable antics.<br/><br/>Like any young pup, Alexa will need help with crate training, house training, and basic obedience as she continues to grow. With patience, consistency, and love, she’s going to blossom into an amazing companion.<br/><br/>She currently weighs about 8 pounds and has a December birthday, so she still has plenty of growing to do.
