Alexa Pit Bull Terrier Fleetwood, PA

Alexa is a gorgeous pocket pittie that has been through a lot in her short life. The poor girl was surrendered to a local shelter where she was placed in a foster home. At some point, he injured her patella and her ACL, and the shelter did not give her any medical attention. She sat in pain in her kennel for 5 whole months! Luckily we were able to pull her into our rescue and get her the corrective surgery that she needed. Alexa is still recovering, but we would love to place her directly into a foster or adoptive home instead of back to the kennel.

Alexa is roughly 40 lbs of cuteness. She may be tiny in size, but she has a BIG personality! She loves people and gets very excited to play. She is all wiggles and snuggles! Alexa is an active dog and needs a fenced in yard or regular exercise to get her energy out. She has shown some guarding, which she is working on in training, but an experienced owner would be best that can continue working with her. No children for this reason.

Three references are required for adoption. Copies of medical/vet records must be submitted for any previous pets.

A home visit must be completed prior to adoption. Three one-hour visits at the training center is mandatory after adoption, and three one-hour visits at the home. A training plan with a trainer is also required.
