Alex II's Story

Hi y'all!

Alex checking in. I don't know if any of you remember seeing me before, so I'll start at the beginning...

I was hit by a car in Texas while off wandering where I shouldn't have been, and my life was changed forever. My leg hurt and didn't work like it was supposed to anymore. My owner wasn't going to take me anywhere to have it looked at. Luckily some other people intervened and I got the care I needed. My leg had to be amputated, but now I am healed and have made my way up North.

I am a mix around 11 months old, and foster Mom says if she had to make a guess of what I'm mixed with it would be a Heeler. I love to play and will need another playful dog in the home. I am living with other dogs and cats, and just want to be part of the pack. If I'm not playing with one of my foster sisters I can be found wherever foster mom is. I am usually not too far from her feet.

I do have some separation anxiety that we are working on. I do like my crate and happily run to get in it for treats and toys; however, if foster mom is not in the same room, and especially when I can't see her, I can kinda stress myself out.

I love to roll in the grass, eat, play, chew toys, learn that the world is not so scary, and be told I'm a good boy
