Albert's Story

Today we welcome Albert to the "We love Neutering Club" because even cute dogs dont need their balls!

So what does this mean??? That means Albert is officially adoptable, however, large pause..........He is super cute, yes he is. He is also deaf, has impaired vision and has some neurological differences that he works with. So he navigates the world a little different and we will screen his application different.

None of this slows him down, it does make it a little different how you adjust your schedule around him. Confined small kennel spaces with the door closed cause him too much anxiety and his circles are out of control. But you leave the door open and he will go in and out all day long and put himself to sleep in one.

He needs a spill proof food bowl because he loves mealtime. He will eventually get it all off the floor if he spills it. And you can keep the wet food, because that texture is not for him.

Albert is pad trained. So don't move it from the spot he knows where it is at or try and take him outside. Cause he will run right back inside and pee on that pad.

No small children. With his differences and their chaos, trust me, you will only want one to deal with when he has an anxiety attack.
Older, respectful children will be fine.

Other dogs are fine and cats. He doesn't care and he doesn't need them. He has tried to play with them but he isn't quite sure how it goes. He loves cardboard but that can be a choking hazard for him, so it is best to introduce toys to him that are suited for puppies

Albert is 5 months old
UTD on age appropriate vaccinations but needs one more booster of DHPPL
Microchipped

How did he get this way? Those backyard breeders that the lawmakers think are okay to let continue to breed in Kentucky and Tennessee without restrictions. He was bought to breed, but abandoned when they saw he had issues.

We would prefer someone with deaf dog experience but know that is not always possible.

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAR/Dog
