Hi my name is Alaric and I am approximately 6 years old. I am a sweet boy with a rough past just looking for that perfect person who can give me that happy ever after. I have been at the rescue for over a year now waiting for the perfect home! I know I have the most beautiful eyes and you are already ready to hit the link to my adoption application, but let me tell you all about me first:<br/>The best things about me:e. I get along with other friendly dogsf. I get along with catsg. I love to snuggle and will just melt into<br/>you once I’ve had a chance to get to know you! h. I have completed professional training<br/>through the Colorado canine prison trained dogs programi. I come with a lifetime of training sessionsj. I am easy going and would be happy just hanging out at the house or going on short walks<br/><br/>The things you should know before meeting me: e. I need a confident owner who can show me the ropesf. I was rescued from a high kill shelter and showed signs of abuseg. I have a large scar on my nose and sniffle a bit when I breath due to the injury (I have been vet checked and I am in good health). h. The rescue believes my injury was directly related to abusei. It was evident that I lived on a chain prior to coming to the rescuej. I was emaciated prior to coming to the rescue so I don’t appreciate dog friends in my food dish (I love my friends, but the rescue feeds me in my crate when I am housing with a buddy)k. I take a while to warm up to strangers and need the confidence of my owner to guide mel. I would do best in a home without children, unfortunately I am just too nervous<br/><br/>I know, I know it may be a lot to take in, but I promise that I will be the best boy with a little TLC.
