Alana's Story

Alana is a young female 3MO dog, born on 15 October 2025 and currently weighing approximately 15 lbs.

Alana has a playful personality combined with an unusual level of maturity for her age; she is obedient, learns quickly, and already walks calmly on a leash. She is learning housetraining, and is familiar with using a pet door, continuing to improve with routine and consistency.

She lives harmoniously with other dogs, all larger than her, and with cats, and she even enjoys playing with the cats.

Her life began in the most fragile way, born on the streets, to a pregnant mother who gave birth to six puppies exposed to the elements. One by one, her siblings found homes, until Alana was left behind. From the moment she could walk, she stayed close to her mother, following her everywhere and unknowingly putting her tiny life at risk. That devotion is what led to her rescue, giving her the chance to grow up safe, protected, and full of hope.

Now, Alana is waiting for the loving, responsible family she has always deserved: a home where her loyalty, sweetness, and joyful spirit can truly shine.

Animal Donation Advocate's Adoption Policy
Once the adopter is interested in one of our dogs/cats, he/she must fill out a form with some important information such as his/her profession, details of his/her home (that are important for the pet, for example, if the property is fenced), the hours the pet would be alone, if everyone in the home is aware and in agreement with the adoption, and so on. There are many important details, so we read each application carefully. Once we approve the candidate, we need to speak by phone or email to resolve any questions and schedule a meeting with the pets. All meetings are in neutral environments such as parks, respecting the privacy of the adopters. Once the meeting is over, the adopter decides whether to keep the pet and signs a Pet Adoption Agreement. We provide the adopter with proof of vaccinations, sterilizations and de-parasitization, and we will be available for any possible issues that may arise. Two weeks (on average) after the adoption we send a follow-up email.
