Akela's Story
Akela and her 6 siblings were rescued on January 4 of this year when a brave soul crawled up under an abandoned house and brought the tiny two-week old babies to safety. Once safe inside, these pups have been well cared for along with their Mother, Raina, who was recently adopted!

This litter is believed to be lab mix, with mom being a yellow lab mix who is extremely social, docile and well behaved and already adopted! Mom weighs in at 40 pounds, but we expect these kids to be a little bit bigger with the girls being 45 pounds and the boys possibly 50 pounds. We are not certain who the daddy to this litter was, but some of the puppies are a very deep chocolate color and we have a couple of brindle ones too. These guys look very much lab and we believe daddy just about had to be a lab too. Whatever the mix, they are very nice-looking kids!

Akela is wearing a classic black and white coat! She's just as sweet as sugar and of late she has been given a lot of one on one time now that the litter has gotten a little smaller with some of he siblings being adopted!

Akela is learning her house manners and how to walk on leash and has proved to be a smart girl! Akela has had all of her vetting done and she is microchipped. We also have Akela on heartworm, flea and tick preventative and the only thing this beauty lacks is her forever home!

If you would like to meet or adopt Akela please start with our Adoption Application.
