Akari's Story

Sweet, gentle Akari was picked up by Animal Control in Stockton running the streets in June 2024 with no I.D. tag or microchip. By August she was still unclaimed by an owner. With only 15 minutes to spare, Akari was saved from being euthanized.

In Japanese, Akari means “Light” and the name fits her personality well.

She has unlimited potential and love for people. Akari is housebroken, crate trained, is great with people of all ages and good with male dogs including small ones (but no kitties). She will be a loyal companion for someone or a family who is active as she loves to go on walks and hikes.

FOSTERED IN PLEASANTON
