Meet our newest guest at the LaVerkin Animal Shelter. This is Ajax, a 7 year old Poodle mix that was surrendered to the shelter over the weekend. Ajax's owner died and the nearest next-of-kin is on the East Coast, so the family decided to surrender him to us. Ajax is a wonderful dog and has been a loyal companion to his owner for almost all of his 7 years. Unfortunately, Ajax is having a difficult time making the transition to his temporary home with us. He is very sad and confused to be in new surroundings. We are hoping his story reaches the right family to give him a new forever home where he can feel safe and loved. We're still getting to know Ajax and as time goes by we'll be able to determine the type of household he will thrive in. Please call the shelter throughout the week and ask any questions you may have about this beautiful boy.<br/>Ajax has been neutered and microchipped already, and will be up-to-date on vaccinations this week.
