Aioli's Story

Aioli is one year old, incredibly smart, very sweet, and absolutely the kind of dog who wants to be involved in his people's lives. He loves attention, affection and spending time with his humans. He is also a fascinating mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Border Collie, Chow Chow, Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd and Supermutt. That is a lot of brains, energy and personality packed into one dog.

And that matters.

Aioli is not a couch potato who will be happy being ignored all day. He is young and he needs attention, exercise, mental stimulation and continued training. He needs people who want to interact with their dog, teach him things, take him places and make him part of their everyday life.

He has now been adopted twice and returned twice, and we really want his next home to be his last. His previous adopters both returned him citing that he needed more than they could give him. We don't want that happening again. We want his adopter recognizing that they are an adopting a 1 year old active dog.

Aioli needs someone who understands that bringing home a young dog takes time. He may not immediately be the perfect dog you imagined on day one. He needs consistency, patience and the opportunity to learn who you are and what his new life looks like.

But if you're willing to put in that time, you are going to get a remarkable dog in return.
He is incredibly smart. He is affectionate. He has a goofy side. He wants a relationship with his people. And when you spend time with him, it becomes pretty obvious that there is a really special dog underneath that young, busy brain.

We aren't looking for someone who simply wants a dog. We're looking for someone who wants Aioli. Someone who has the time and energy for a young dog. Someone who enjoys training and working with their dog. Someone who will give him time to settle in instead of making a decision after a few days. Someone who understands that the best relationships with dogs are built, not delivered fully assembled.

If that sounds like you, please meet Aioli. He has already had two chances that didn't work out. He deserves someone who is ready to make the next one count. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
If you are interested in meet or adoption me, please fill out an adoption application athttps://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sa3058&method=online_form_html&formid=41
