Agnes's Story
**CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE

Agnes is a 6-year, 8-month-old hound mix weighing about 50 pounds, and this lovely girl has truly come into her own in foster care.

When Agnes first arrived, she was quiet and moved stiffly, clearly uncomfortable. We soon discovered she was dealing with Lyme Disease, and once treatment began, everything started to change. As she began feeling better, Agnes’s true personality started to shine.

Now in foster care, Agnes has blossomed. She has settled beautifully into a home routine and has proven herself to be housebroken and an easy companion. She has fully embraced the art of cozy naps, quiet companionship, and soaking up affection.

Agnes has done very well with other dogs and enjoys their company. She has also shown herself to be a social and friendly girl, happy to be part of everyday life.

She enjoys getting out and about with her people and has the kind of personality that makes her a wonderful companion for errands, outings, or simply spending time together.

Agnes is a gentle, affectionate dog who has clearly been waiting for a place to belong. Now that she’s feeling better and thriving in foster care, she’s ready to find the home that will love her for the rest of her life.

Agnes is spayed. She is current on vaccines, heartworm tested and microchipped. She’s also started on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

To Apply for Adoption/Foster please copy and paste the following link:
https://orangecountyva.gov/158/Animal-Shelter
